Hoping your 2009 is starting off well, and you are as inspired as I am. I spent the end of 2008 travelling quite a bit which inspired me to come up with some new designs. I received some great feedback on last year’s designs from some of my new US friends I met in Paris so I thought it was time to move on and try some new styles. I was lucky that the Feeling Inspired travelling bead shop was in town last weekend, so I stocked up on some great new beads. So much fun!

I have uploaded many of my new designs to the website sets – leave a comment to let me know what you think. This one is my fave from the last bunch, but be warned that I have the flu and been making jewellery like craZy this weekend so I have many more photos still to take and upload.

We spent Sunday 3rd August at the Bridal Expo at the Ipswich Club. We showed off our new range of invitations that come in packs of 10 for $10 – essentially $1 each. They come pre-printed on the front and you simply print off your words (on some coloured paper for a special touch) and they are ready to go! You can pop them inside a standard envelope to send, (buy coloured ones for that extra wow factor when they arrive in your guest’s mailbox).

We also have some fabulous new freshwater pearl sets, great for bridesmaids (you can see them in the 2nd picture). More pics to come!

I cant believe it has been so long since I have blogged, it is not that I havent been creating, it is more due to a hard drive crash (and subsequent new one) and my new book! Along with my friend Bec, I self-published, co-edited and co-authored a new book about the diversity of IT careers. www.techgirlsarechic.org

We had the launch on the 8th March (International Womens Day) and of course I made the invitations for it. I received some really great feedback on them, seems they were a hit!

I have a new toy (the cuttlebug) that has enabled me to do some cool new things so some of these are the fruits of it! I have been using it mosly for the new range of invitations which you can find under the ‘invitations’ link – here are a few examples. I love them! They cost $20 for a pack of 10; so that’s just $2 each and you just need to print and cut your words and stick them on the back. All embellishments are included.

also see the latest mosaics. i am just finishing grouting the sunflower (isnt it cute!) and have posted some pics of my friend Vanessa’s mosaic. looks like a spanish cross or something. so great how she smashed the old coffee cups and kept the design in place. in one of the side pics you can see the beginnings of the sunflower. will put a pic of the grouted sunflower up as soon as the rainy weather goes…
